The Solvay Tyrol Club will be hosting a Polenta Carbonara dinner as part of a celebration of Italian music at St. Cecilia’s church in Solvay.  Matteo Ferrari from Trentino, Italy is known for his appearances in productions of Les Misèrables, A Little Night Music, Rent, and the Warner Chappell Music Album of Snoopy, The Musical!

Matteo Ferrari, a Tenor from Trentino, will present a concert of Italian popular songs of the 1930’s and 1940’s, or “Songs Between the Wars” which are seeing a resurgence in contemporary culture.  Maramao, is, according to Matteo “… a dive into the past among the most beautiful melodies composed between 1915 and 1945. It is a tribute to the artists who have made the history of Italian song and, despite the climate of conflict, dictatorships, and censorships of the moment, have always wanted to look for "the sun on the forehead".

We are pleased that he will appear in Solvay in the Sanctuary at St. Cecilia’s through a collaboration with Trentini nel Mondo on Sunday, October 22, 2023 at 3.00 pm.  We hope that you will join us for a most enjoyable concert of beautiful music that emerged through difficult times.
